Gigantic Sunshine Fairytale

A Christmas day Delmondocast reaching back to the week before last. Some real treats here. Connor McAteer starts us off with Another You & Me Song. The Reverb bring their own amp so I pointed the mic at it so you can ear it's melanch. I got all negative with my rant on Christmas but I regret that now as I slurp and eat my way through the day. Betty is a wonderful treat with Black is the colour. Some voice. Come back soon! The next Delmondocast is the Christmas show which was eclectic as all hell and heaven but there's none next week so  I'll put that up in the next week. Happy Christmas wherever you are! Download

Long Blue Heartbeats

This week's Delmondocast is so good you should listen to the whole thing from beginning to end. Sorry it's late but better that it is because there wasn't an Open Mic Del Mondo this week due to the ice and snow and probable multiple resulting fractures. Ciaran is back to start us off all relaxed before Tina kicks off the show. We have two special guest latecomers in Roy and Victoria (pictured) who round off the night in a style to which we are unaccustomed. Hap up and listen. Download

Mart - Mr Sailor Man

Ask away for somebody's Love problems

Eamonn & Connor from a couple of weeks ago. They're not together in this one.

So goodbye first Delmondocast. Deleted in favour of this one. From now on you'll only get the last 11 due to storage space. Although we wave goodbye to Ronan's Always, The Reverb revive a recent classic their way as does Caroline on the Tin Whistle. Con(n)ors Kelly and Hutcheon wreck the place. Me and James manage a list of words and create problems for the IMF. That makes its way into other people's songs too. Cos the country collapsed too like.

Sorry to Ciaran for the probably bad spelling of his song title. The lyrics weren't googlable so I guessed. It might be your song what you wrote yourself isit? Download

Black Berries - Dancin' in the moonlight (Thin Lizzy)

Tina - I'll Fly away (Alison Krauss)

Here come fool's rags

This was a great night with some great acts. Maybe the Autumn cold makes us all the more hungry for a bit of acoustic madness. Good to see Connor Kelly (pictured) back, fresh from a very well received turn at the Outburst Queer Arts Festival in Belfast. Rapidly running out of server space so I'm afraid the first episode from July is going to have to go next week. Grab it now while you still can! Download

All words do things

I just realised this is over an hour! You won't have time to listen in this big modern world of fastness, will you? You know you feel the rain

It's wet these weeks but the delmondo open mic-ers still need their fix.
The Reverb start the delmondocast off before Tina gets the ball rolling with Wanda. All slightly downbeat tunes, looking at this playlist, but sure isn't it better that they're out meetin' people than singing them in the bath on their own? James and Caroline, (pictured) even do a cover tonight... Download

The Reverb stew that it is

This has the Reverb in it with one of their own ones tonight. But there was something of a reverb quality to the whole thing. Connor turned it up for his version of Across the Universe but it wasn't turned off again so I'm reverbing and James isn't and Tina is at the end. A quiet one tonight but a nice wee peaceful autumnally emotional one too. Download

Tina - The box it came in (Wanda Jackson)
James King - Syllable Stew
Paul - She belongs to me (Bob Dylan)
Dan - Telephone (Lady GaGa)

Gimme more Love

A long and hopefully exciting Delmondocast this week. James was off doing something so Caroline and Rory got together for a couple of new improv games. Probably the one that made the most sense is here. A couple of new faces too in the form of Dave, old heads not seen in a while in Conor & Eamonn and Andrew's beautiful a capella rendition of Hallelujah is not to be missed. Download

Rory & Caroline - George Michael & Michael Flatley cultural programme
Paul - It'll take your heart & mine
The Reverb - Simple man (Lynrd Skynrd)
